Reading Goal

Students will improve reading comprehension skills across the curriculum by 3% on the MEAP Reading Test.

Desired learning results:

  • Students will demonstrate their comprehension of the text by being able to give a detailed retell in the DRA 2.
  • Students will demonstrate their comprehension skills through entries in their Reading Response Logs (grades 2-5).

Writing Goal

Students will improve their writing skills across the curriculum by 3% on the MEAP writing test.

Desired learning results:

  • Students will demonstrate clear and focused writing on a given topic.
  • Students will learn to utilize the writing process in assessment writing
  • a)  Paired reading / writing    b)  Writing to a prompt

Tranference Goal (Math)

Students will improve their graphing skills across the curriculum by 3% on the MEAP Math Test.

Desired learning results:

  • Students will demonstrate their ability to create and present data using graphs
  • Students will demonstrate their ability to interpret data using graphs.
