Wednesday’s post a day late

Good morning,

I hope that this post finds you and your family well. We are in full swing now of implementing the districts remote learning contingency plan. I have had several parents contact me indicating that what is being requested is a bit overwhelming. As I have stated in previous posts and in Mondays robocall, please just do what you are able to do and do not worry about the rest. We are here to support in these times not to add to your stress levels. If you need to prioritize, I would start with Language Arts and Math and then go from there. Your child is capable of doing many Language Arts activities on their own and the same goes for Math. Even for myself, as I help our children with math, I am frequently left scratching my head, researching and ultimately saying let’s move on to the next problem. This whole situation is overwhelming at times so ultimately just take care of you and your children and we will be here to help along the way.

The district is still providing breakfast and lunch. The pickups are Monday, Wednesday and Friday at OL Smith.

For those who have requested another round of chromebooks, they are being prepared today and I will be driving to your houses to deliver them. Your child’s teacher will be contacting you with more specific information.
