Parent Talk flyers went home a little over a week ago and I know that several parents have been contact by teachers and several parents have already registered. I just want to take a moment and encourage parents to sign up for this very beneficial program. Teachers will also be going through a similar type of training at the same time. It would be wonderful to have everyone using similar language and support styles to ensure that our students develop in the most appropriate manner.
Below is a brief summary of Parent Talk and the dates that it will be offered.
Increase achievement and decrease discipline issues with effective Parent Talk. Learn communication skills that empower, encourage self-responsible behaviors, self-motivation and character development. Learn practical skills to positively affect the social and emotional development of your children and family. Certificate of completion is awarded to participants who complete the course.
Classes are held on Thursdays from 6:00—7:30 p.m. on:
