Good morning Nowlin Families,
As stated a few weeks ago, construction has started at Nowlin. The building is being retrofitted for air conditioning. One Hallway is complete and we have begun working on the other hallway. This will eventually, briefly disrupt each 1st through 5th grade classroom. The construction has started with Ms. Schnotala’s room and Mr. Hawkins room and will work its way down the hallway two classrooms at a time. The Staff Lounge and Media Center have been set up as temporary classrooms. There will likely be a coupe hiccups but overall the process should not be too disruptive to our students’ learning.
The start of the second semester has brought some changes to special area classes. We will not have media for the second semester (there will still be book check-out). Instead each student will receive two music classes. Mr. McKenna will be the lead instructor and Mr. Walters will instruct a handful of classes on Monday’s only. Instrumental Music will also be starting soon.
Today is a half day. Early Release Tuesday’s will still continue.
We will be hosting a “Chatting With The Superintendent” for families on next Thursday (1/18) from 5pm-6pm. All are welcome!!
Math Night will be Tuesday (1/23) from 5pm-6pm.
