A little reminder that tomorrow is Math Night and Book Bingo. Math Night begins at 4:30 and ends at 5:30. Book Bingo begins at 6:00 and ends at 7:00. PTA will be selling halal hot dogs, chips, water and soda and what not.
Also, please be aware that February 27th is voting day and Dearborn Schools has an important millage renewal on the ballot. If the Operational Millage Renewal does not pass the district would need to cut $41 million from the budget. That is 16% across the board. Think about 16% less at your school – 16% less teachers, parapros, custodians, secretaries, programs, etc. This is NOT A BOND proposal. This is NOT to build new schools, add on to existing schools, add air conditioning, cameras, or anything related to big capital improvements. The Operational Millage Renewal is part of the General Fund budget that is used to run the district. It helps to pay for salaries, utility bills, classroom supplies, busing, books, etc.
