Please join the art department for Empty bowls Monday November 14, 2022 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Park Place Banquet Hall 23400 Park Street, Dearborn MI 2 blocks south of Michigan Ave. at Outer Drive. $5 donation upon entry soup and salad dinner, leave with a beautiful handmade bowl. All proceeds go to Gleaner’s Food Bank and Blessings in a Backpack.
Traditionally, buildings that participate, have students make bowls out of clay. However, we are big proponents of STEM education and putting that knowledge into real world practice. The students in Mr. Hawkins 4th grade class have been hard at work designing and 3D printing bowls for this year’s event! Please see below two examples of the student designed bowls and the flyer for the event. I must say that our students are pretty awesome!!
