Please see the letter from Prosecutor Worthy in regards to school threats. It is a reminder for all of us that we must be aware of the words we use and that our students need to be aware as well. In today’s climate, words are taken more seriously than ever and we must remind our children of this fact. Prosecutor Worthy also references a new law that was passed making it a crime to threaten to commit an act of violence against a student or a school employee.
We will continue to do everything on our end to ensure that our students are safe. This includes having an emergency management team, an emergency management plan, practice drills (fire, tornado, lockdown), and continue to make sure that our doors are locked.
